I’ve been experimenting with something I’m calling the “Retro Robot Studios Paint System.”
Instead of picking random colors, I started organizing acrylic palettes based on design eras—Art Deco, 1950s atomic age, 1970s retro-futurism, and industrial machinery.
What I’m finding is that limiting colors by era actually makes the designs feel more intentional and cohesive.
Curious if anyone else working in model making, painting, or design has tried something similar—or if you think there’s value in paint sets organized this way.
Always learning and experimenting.
